Kutokana na taarifa ya Shirika la  afya duniani (WHO) za hivi karibuni zimebaini kuwa 65% ya idadi ya watu duniani wana uzito uliozidi na kuwa na vitambi, hii  pia imedhihirisha kuwa kundi hilo linaongoza kwa kupoteza maisha (kutokana na magonjwa mbali mbali ya tabia kama kisukari, shinikizo la damu, na magonjwa mengine ya moyo) kuliko kundi jingine la watu lenye uzito wa chini ambalo ni sawa na 35%. (Uchunguzi huo ulijumuisha nchi zote zenye watu wenye vipato vya juu na kati).

Huu ndiyo uhalisia…je hali yako ya mazoea katika kula inakuweka kwenye kundi gani?
Kwa pamoja tutafahamishana mbinu 10 za kukufanya uwe na uzito unaotakiwa kama ilivyoshauriwa na WHO kwa kuzingatia kipimo cha usawazisho cha uzito wa mwili na urefu (BMI) kama ifuatavyo:
